Who will be managing the Tobago Plantations Resort and what services
will there be for the Real Estate owners?
The resort will be managed by TPL. After the resort development project
is completed and residential products sold, TPL will basically become
an administrative company, responsible for managing the affairs of the
resort community. It shall ensure the general maintenance and the constant
up keeping of a professional and marketable appearance for the resort
development.
TPL is committed to ensuring the efficient operation of all utilities
and the preservation, in general, of the 5 - star quality of the community
vis-à-vis its landscapes, walkways, signs, roads, carparks, etc.
in order to provide maximum satisfaction to owners and visitors.
Aside from general maintenance of public areas, TPL shall administer
the common services such as:
- Full security at entry points, moving patrols around the perimeter,
and a central monitoring system
- Garbage collection and disposal
- Postal Services
An Owners Association will be organized as a separate legal body. There
will be a Covenant governing the relations between owners, the Owners
Association, and TPL. An important part of the Covenant deals with the
distribution of costs for common or public services, alterations to the
buildings, etc. Other parts deal with the regulations of the association
as a separate entity, its responsibilities, duties, and functions.
Is there a Marina nearby where I could moor a boat?
The resort's plans for later (Phase III) includes a marina facility with
120 berths with moorings, yacht club, 3rd hotel -150 room boutique hotel,
marina villas and condominiums.
Which Airlines fly direct to Tobago from the UK and when?
British Airways currently operates twice weekly into Tobago (direct,
one-stop). Monarch will operate from December 2001
How accessible is international air transport?
Trinidad and Tobago is serviced by two international airports. Piarco
International Airport is located in Trinidad, approximately 15.5 miles
from Trinidad's capital of Port of Spain. The airport has a 10,000 - foot
runway capable of handling Boeing 747 aircraft. Presently, the airport
has a new terminal building with a total of twelve gates, ten of which
will be dedicated to international flights.
Crown Point International Airport is located in Tobago, approximately
7 miles from Tobago's capital of Scarborough. The airport has two gates
and a runway, which can handle Boeing 747 aircraft. Construction of a
new terminal building is planned and will include three new gates which
when completed will be dedicated to international flights.
Scheduled Flights:
International passengers can reach Tobago either directly or via Trinidad.
Presently, BWIA West Indies Airways, BWEE Express and Tobago Express
operate schedule services Trinidad and Tobago.
BWIA operates 3 direct flights per week between Miami and Tobago. BWEE
Express also flies directly to Tobago from St. Lucia, Barbados, and Grenada.
Tobago Express is the commuter service providing air bridge shuttle flights
between the sister isles providing connections to and from Tobago for
BWIA's international arrivals and departures.
American Airlines flies to Port of Spain twice daily from Miami and American
Express once daily from Puerto Rico.
Leeward Islands Air Transport (LIAT) has daily flights between Grenada
and Tobago, and between Barbados and Tobago.
